Every single Steinway instrument is unique. Skilled craftsmen working with meticulous care select the finest woods to create an instrument composed of some 12,000 individual parts, resulting in the incomparable sound. Steinway offers a five - year warranty to the original buyer of every Steinway instrument purchased from an authorised Steinway & Sons distributor, starting with the date of invoice and valid in the country where the instrument was purchased.

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship only. Any such defect will be repaired free of charge during the warranty period. This warranty does not cover any expense which exceeds the actual cost of repair. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or accidental exterior and interior damage, nor does it cover the surface finish and key coverings (durability and discoloration). Claims under this warranty are dependent on your valuable Steinway instrument residing in optimal environment conditions - which will also prolong its life.

Regular servicing and tuning by an authorized Steinway Technician are essntial if your instrument is to retain its value. Please ensure that all work carried out on your Steinway is recorded in your Service Check Book (pages 28-35). This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
